When the “Image” tab is active, you have access to the feed
image.
It is not necessary for an RSS feed to have an image, but it
will make your feed look more attractive and professional. This tab
can be used to add graphics to your feed, prepare it for publishing
and upload to your server using FTP.
The Image tab contains a toolbar, preview area and data input
area.
Image toolbar
– Open an existing image file. Feed Editor
supports JPEG and GIF files.
– Save the current file to disk.
– Remove the current file.
– Upload the current image to a website
using FTP.
– Undo the previous operation.
– Redo the previous operation.
– Change image size. The default image size
for an RSS feed is 88 pixels wide, by 31 pixels high. The maximum
allowed image size is 144 pixels wide, by 400 pixels high.
– Rotate the image.
– Mirror the image.
– Apply one of graphic filters.
Data input area
To the right of the preview area, the data input area is
located. It contains fields that must be filled if you use an image
in your RSS feed.
Note. Do not
confuse the “Link” and “Image URL” fields. The “Link” is a
hyperlink that will be associated with the image file. The “Image
URL” is the link to your image file that will be included into your
feed. To make sure that the fields are filled correctly, use the
feed preview function.
